• If you need to wash your  hair/ scalp, wait until day 5 and then please use something gentle like Everyone Soap (Amazon/ Target) or baby shampoo.
• Do NOT use any harsh shampoos or chemicals on your scalp for at least 30 days after your appointment.
• Once completely healed and all sessions are done, use SPF (sunscreen) when in the sun, as this will preserve your color and keep it looking fresher longer.

• If you are under the age of 18, we cannot provide you with scalp micropigmentation services even if you have a parent’s consent.
• Pregnant and nursing women.
• Anyone with open sores, psoriasis, or eczema in the area to be worked on.
• Individuals using blood thinners of any kind, especially long term, or those with blood disorders may have difficulty with bleeding and/or bruising and this can affect the healing process. The application of permanent makeup requires implanting color into the skin, and the aforementioned conditions could interfere with depositing the color. You must consult your doctor and provide documentation from your physician stating you are cleared to receive microblading services.
• Diabetics may experience a more difficult time with healing and must obtain written consent from a physician stating your health will not be compromised should you undergo the permanent makeup procedure.
• The use of Retin-A or similar retinoids must be stopped 7 days prior to your procedure and cannot resume for another 30 days after.
• If you have an Autoimmune Disease, please consult your physician and obtain a letter stating you are cleared to receive microblading.
• Those who suffer from epilepsy need a physician’s approval prior to the procedure.

Appointment times vary, but generally speaking you can expect:

• 2 – 2.5 hours for edges
• 3 – 4 hours for half of the head
• 4 – 5 hours for the whole head

• 2 to 3 sessions can be expected, but 4 to 5 is not unheard of, especially for those with very oily scalps or thick skin.
• Appointments are typically scheduled in 1 to 2 week intervals. 

• 3-5 days before your appointment, start preparing your scalp by using an exfoliant to scrub your scalp free of dead skin and build up. You can buy a scalp exfoliant or make one yourself (your shampoo & sugar). Apply to a damp scalp and massage gently; don’t over do it.
• Apply scalp moisturizer daily as well to keep the scalp supple, as this will make it easier for the scalp to take the color.
• Please DO NOT consume alcohol 24 hours before your appointment and NO caffeine the day of your appointment.

The pigment color will be dark for the first few days post session but will lighten up by day 6 or 7 as the color settles into the scalp. Some areas will lose a little bit of the color as well, which is normal. During your touchup sessions, any areas where the color has lightened beyond what we’d like to see will receive additional pigment.

Results can last upwards of 5 years before requiring a touchup.
